People always ask what the main difference is between the British trial and the American trial.... simply gamefinding ability. The British/Irish place the highest value on the dog's natural ability to find game rather than precision handling. The dogs must be impeccably steady with absolutely no noise while working. They are seeking a classic Gentleman's gundog; the winner being the most desirable dog to have along on a day's shoot.
